Rehearsals and jazz gigs make Autumn a busy month!
So, the Autumnal rehearsals are now in full-swing once more, with Ilkley Choral Society. After a long summer break, we are now busy working our way through Haydn’s ‘Te Deum’, Mozart’s ‘Mass in C’ and Bob Chilcott’s ‘Requiem’. The performance will be on 19th November, 2011 at Otley Parish Church.
I’m also kept busy with Cantores Olicanae, another choir in Ilkley, who are preparing for their concert of Karl Jenkins’ famed piece, The Armed Man. That concert will be at St. Margaret’s Church in Ilkley, on November 12th.
Aside from the choral work, I’m busy arranging more jazz gigs with my trio, so keep checking back here for details. We hope to bring our EP to more locations, as well as premiere some fresh material! So, if you haven’t heard the music yet, do try to support us at one of our live gigs!
Anyway, that’s about it for now. Just a brief update to whet your appetites!
